Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Akagera National Park
Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Launch Cruise

Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Akagera National Park
Upon arrival at Kigali international airport, meet and greet our company representative and drive for 3 hours to Akagera national park. Check in to your booked lodge and later go for canoeing experience at Lake Ihema to encounter aquatic wildlife such as hippopotami and crocodiles among others. Dinner and overnight at Akagera Game Lodge
Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Launch Cruise
Have an early morning breakfast and drive to the park in search for number of animals such as, lions, Impalas, buffaloes, elephants, zebras among others. Return to your lodge for lunch, relaxation and later go for a boat cruise on Lake Ihema to see animals such as hippopotami and crocodiles. Dinner and overnight at Akagera Game Lodge.
Day 3: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Wake up in the morning for breakfast and drive to Volcanoes National Park in Musanze province to encounter mountain gorillas the following day. Check in and enjoy fantastic views of the park. Diner and overnight at Gorilla solution lodge
Day 4: Mountain Gorilla Trekking and Iby’wacu Cultural Center Tour
Today is the highlight of your 10 Days Rwanda Gorilla Trekking and Wildlife Safari! Have an early morning breakfast and head to Kinigi park head offices by 7:00am for morning briefing on gorilla trekking guidelines and allocation of gorilla families. Head into the park in search for the giant mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. This takes approximately 1hr to meet the gorillas however, the trekking time is subject to their movement. Upon meeting them, you will spend one hour to take photos and later retrieve to the starting point to pick your certificates. Drive back to your lodge for lunch and later head out for the Iby’wacu Cultural tour for a clearer understanding of the Rwandese Culture. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla solution lodge
Day 5: Golden Monkey trekking and Visit to Twin Lakes of Ruhondo and Burera
Have breakfast and head to Kinigi park offices by 7:00am for morning briefing on the golden monkey tracking code of conduct. Start your adventure through the forest in search for golden monkeys. Golden monkeys live in large families and can be seen jumping from one tree branch to another; playing and looking for food. Spend one hour with them and retrieve to the starting point to meet your guide to drive back to your lodge for lunch and later go for a visit to the twin lakes of Ruhondo and Burera. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla solution lodge
Day 6: Transfer to Nyungwe National Park- visit the Murambi genocide memorial and Nyanza King’s palace
Have breakfast and drive to south east of Rwanda for a visit to Nyungwe national park. Have an en route stopover to visit the Murambi genocide memorial site and Nyanza King’s palace to explore great history of Rwanda. Dinner and overnight at Nyungwe Top View Lodge
Day 7: Chimpanzee Tracking and Canopy Walk
Have breakfast and drive to the park headquarters for a quick briefing on chimp tracking adventure. During your trail, expect to meet other forest primates such as monkeys, baboons among others. Encounter chimps and spend one hour with them, see how they swing in the forest trees. Later return to the starting point to meet your guide and drive back to your lodge for lunch. Relax a little bit and go to the park for a guided canopy walk. Come back to the lodge for dinner and overnight Nyungwe Top View Lodge
Day 8: Transfer to Lake Kivu
Have a morning coffee and drive south east of Rwanda to Lake Kivu. Take a stopover at Nyanza King’s Palace and Murambi Genocide Memorial for a site tour before reaching lake Kivu and checking in to your booked hotel. Dinner and overnight Palm Gardens Resort
Day 9: Nyamirundi Island and Departure
Have breakfast and embark on a morning boat ride to tour Nyamirundi Island for coffee making experience. Return to your lodge for check out and drive to Kigali for diner and overnight at Nobleza Hotel
Day 10: Kigali City Tour and Departure
Enjoy breakfast and go for Kigali city tour to visit major tourist sites such as Gisozi Genocide Memorial Site and National Museum. Have lunch and drive to the airport to catch up with your flight back home with a lot of memories about your 10 Days Rwanda Gorilla Trekking and Wildlife Safari.
