This 3 Days Mountain Nyiragongo Hiking Adventure is safari package that starts and ends in Kigali Rwanda with border crossing to Virunga through Goma town. Mount Nyiragongo is an active volcano with an elevation of 3,470 metres (11,380 ft) in the Virunga conservation area.
Hiking mount Nyiragongo can be done throughout the year but dry season is the best time to Hike Mount Nyiragongo. The dry season fall between June and September and also December, January and February. The rainy seasons cause the the trails to be more slippery and difficult for hikers.

Day 1: Pick up and Transfer Democratic republic of Congo
Meet our guide and transfer from Kigali Rwanda to Virunga national park in Democratic Republic of Congo through Goma town. to start your 3 Days Mountain Nyiragongo Hiking Adventure. Depending on your arrival time, we may take a city tour in Kigali to explore key attractions such as the genocide Memorial sites, the King’s palace in Nyanza. Dinner and Overnight at Mikeno lodge
Day 2: Hike Mt. Nyiragongo Volcano
Have breakfast and set off for rewarding hike of Nyiragongo Mountain. The hike starts from the base of the mountain and it takes 4 to 6hrs depending on physical fitness of the hikers. During this exciting trail, look out for a number of forest bird species and primates as you continue with the hike to the summit to see the largest and hot red lava. Take photos and enjoy breathtaking views from the mountain. Dinner and overnight at Nyiragongo Volcano Summit shelters.
Day 3: Descend from Nyiragongo Volcano and transfer to Kigali
Have breakfast and descend back down wards to meet your guide driver for transfer to Kigali through Gisenyi. Have en route lunch and continue with your journey to the airport to catch up with your flight with a lot of memories.
