Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is famous for being a home to half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas, one of Uganda’s ancient as well as the most biologically diverse rain forests that is over 25,000 years with almost 400 species of plants that are forming the huge impenetrable forest that is ever green. It is a home to approximately 400 mountain gorillas, 120 mammal species such as numerous primate species, over 350 bird species, including 23 Albertine Rift endemics and is the ancient home of the Batwa bush people and then drive to Queen Elizabeth national park one of the oldest and most visited Ugandan national to search for the tree climbing lions, boat lunch trip on the famous Kazinga channel and wildlife sighting game drive.

Day 1: Pickup from Kigali– City tour – Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Meet and greet our safari guide to start your 4 Days Uganda gorilla trekking from Kigali. Depending on your arrival time, you may do a quick city tour to Kigali Genocide Memorial Monument before driving to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Uganda for a lifetime gorilla experience. Upon your arrival to the park, check in at your booked lodge, relax and take dinner as you get ready for your Uganda gorilla trekking encounter the following day.

Day 2: Bwindi Forest national park – Morning Mountain Gorilla Tracking – Transfer to Ishasha sector – Evening game drive in Ishasha sector
Get up very early in the morning for your breakfast and then go to the park head office for the pre-trekking briefing about the guidelines to follow during mountain gorilla trekking and later set off for your long time awaited mountain gorilla adventure. During mountain gorilla tracking, you may encounter other wildlife species such as many birds, butterflies, other primates plus other mammals and your guide will be able to give you information about everything that you will encounter which will make your walk so interesting. Meeting the giant mountain gorillas is the most wildlife breathtaking experience! Therefore, once you encounter them, you will be allowed to spend 1 hour of observing and taking as many photos as you would want of the Mountain Gorillas then return to the park head office to pick your certificate, have refreshments, lunch and drive to Ishasha sector in southern part of Queen Elizabeth national park sector for a game drive to search for the tree climbing lions. Ishasha sector is well-known for having the unique tree climbing lions and candelabra trees with big branches that allow lions to hang up there. It is one of the only two parks in east Africa where you can find the tree climbing lions with ease. Retire from your game drive and go to check in at your reserved lodge for dinner and an overnight.

Day 3: Queen Elizabeth national park – Morning game drive in Ishasha sector – Afternoon boat cruise – Evening game drive
After having your morning breakfast, go for another mid-morning game drive to search for the tree climbing lions which are normally found in the huge fig trees. During your game drive to search for the tree climbing lions, you may encounter other mammals like, herds of huge Elephants and Caped buffaloes, Topis, Uganda Kobs, Warthogs and others. After your morning game drive, transfer to northern sector of the park for your 2 afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga channel have lunch and later go for your amazing afternoon boat cruise safari on the Kazinga channel which is one of the most memorable experiences from the park and you will have an opportunity to encounter numerous water birds and mammals such as African crocodiles, hippopotamuses, waterbucks and others land mammals as they have come to drink water and swimming such as Buffaloes, Elephants and other among others. Kazinga channel is known as the paradise of bird lovers and you will be able to spot a number of different bird species on the shore s and others swimming. Later, after your boat cruise safari have a short break and then go for your evening game drive to search for more wildlife species and the more emphasis will be put on search for the big predators of the park such as Leopards, Lions and others since evening time is when they come out of their thickets to start hunting. Day 4: Queen Elizabeth national park – Morning game drive – Drive to Entebbe
After enjoying your breakfast, leave the lodge and go for your early morning game drive through Kasenyi track which is proudly known as the mating ground for Uganda Kobs and hunting ground for the big predators such as lions, leopard and spotted hyenas. During your morning game drive, you will have an opportunity to encounter numerous wildlife species such as Elephants, Uganda kobs and other antelope species, Caped buffaloes, Warthogs, Forest giant hog, Lions, Leopard and many other species because this park has is a home to about 95 mammal species and over 600 bird species. After your early morning game drive, have a short break to relax, have some refreshments and then start your drive back to Entebbe international airport for you return flight or you may decide to spend an extra night in Kampala. This will be the end of your 4 days gorilla trekking and Wildlife Sighting Safar in Uganda.
