3 days Bwindi gorilla trekking from Kigali takes you to one of the famous national parks in Uganda located in the southwestern part of the country. The safari takes you to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park via Kigali city. From Kigali city, you get to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park through Katuna border in Kabale and Cyanika border in Kisoro.

Mountain gorilla trekking is the main reason for this safari but other activities that can be done include Batwa cultural tour and Kigali city tour. The 3 days safari will give you a memorable life experience because you will spend 1 hour with the endangered mountain gorillas. This safari can be made at any time of the year but the dry season (June to September and December to February) is the best to visit the park since there is little and sometimes no rainfall to make the trekking trails slippery and muddy.

On the 1st day of 3 days Bwindi gorilla trekking from Kigali, you will be welcomed by our English speaking safari guide who will well come you and brief you about the safari. Depending on the time you will reach Kigali international airport, you can decide to start with a Kigali city tour. During the Kigali city tour, you will be able to visit some of the markets where you will interact with the local people, art and craft shops, museums such as Kigali genocide memorial and later you will start on your journey to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park where you will reach in the evening, check-in your lodge, and have dinner.

Day 2: Encounter Mountain gorillas in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park

On the second day of 3 days Bwindi gorilla trekking from Kigali, you will wake up early in the morning for breakfast and then meet your driver guide to transfer you to the park headquarters. At the park headquarters, you will get briefed by the park wardens about the rules and regulations of the gorilla trekking activity and then you will be grouped.

After grouping, you will be led by the armed ranger guides into the jungle where you will search for mountain gorillas through different trekking trails. While searching for these apes, you will be able to encounter park animals such as monkeys, duikers, bushbucks, giant forest hogs, buffaloes, birds, and different plant species among others.

Once you have met the mountain gorillas, you will be given 1 hour to be around them keeping a distance of 7 meters away as well as other rules and regulations. During the time given, you will be able to learn about their habits, take photos and watch them do daily activities such as hunting, patrolling, nesting, and breastfeeding among others. Later you will trek out of the jungle, meet your driver5 guide to transfer you back to the lodge. You will get served lunch, have the rest of the day resting and waiting for dinner as well as an overnight stay.

Day 3: Batwa cultural tour and transfer back to Kigali

This is the last day of your safari and on this day, you will have to wake up early in the morning for breakfast, check out of the lodge, and move to the Batwa communities that live around the park. At the Batwa communities, you will be led by the local guides who will take you around the communities, watch people do daily activities, taste their foods, visit art and craft shops, listen to their stories, and in the end, you will get entertained by the local people. Some of the Batwa people were former poachers so they will take you around the forest, show you how they used bows and arrows to kill animals, plants as medicine, gather fruits, and collect honey. After the Batwa cultural tour, you will start on your journey back to Kigali city through Katuna border in Kabale or Cyanika border in Kisoro.
