Which country has the most Mountain gorillas?

Which country has the most Mountain gorillas? Uganda is one of three countries with the most endangered mountain gorillas in the world. Mountain gorillas are endangered species surviving mostly in the densely forested areas of east and central Africa. You will never find them in a zoo anywhere these visitors will have to move and explore them from their wildness. The reason for them not found in a zoo is that they cannot survive under captivity.
Uganda has the most mountain gorillas in Africa. Mountain gorillas in Uganda can be found in two destination parks of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Mgahinga gorilla national park forms the conservation block of Virunga Massif which combines other parks with mountain gorillas of volcanoes in the Republic of Rwanda and Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Both Mgahinga and Bwindi Impenetrable forest National park are located in the southwestern part of Uganda and can be accessed via Entebbe international airport in Uganda or Kigali International airport in Rwanda.
Mountain gorillas in Uganda live in a protected forest that is lush and as of today, Uganda has more than 600 gorillas which represent half of the total gorilla population remaining within the world. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park has the highest concentration of gorillas with over 400 gorillas present within the park that live in groups well known as families. There are over 12 habituated gorilla families in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park that reopen for tourism or gorilla trekking safaris.
In Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, however, only one habituated gorilla family known as Nyakagezi is present and visitors can opt to trek this gorilla family. Gorilla trekking permits in Uganda can be got from Uganda Wildlife Authority directly or you can book a gorilla trekking permit to Uganda gorilla parks via a prominent tour operator or travel agency.

-The cost for a gorilla trekking permit in Uganda is 700 United States dollars for international visitors. This fee includes the park entrance fees and guides fee generally and it excluded transport and accommodation. Remember that only a group of 8 people is allowed to trek a single gorilla family per day and therefore there are about 120 gorilla trekking permits available for sale in Uganda per day.
The Mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park are located in all three sections of the park including the Rushaga sector located in the southern part of the park, the Buhoma sector is situated in the Northern part of the park, Ruhija gorilla sector in the eastern park of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, and Nkuringo gorilla trekking sector located also in the southern part of the park.
Having many and most incredible destinations for gorillas, Uganda becomes the country with most mountain gorillas. Apart from Uganda, Mountain gorillas can also be found in her neighboring countries of Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. In Rwanda, gorillas can be seen in Volcanoes National park. There are over 10 habituated gorilla families for tourism while the rest is open for tourism. It is luxurious to see gorillas in Rwanda as the visitors will be required to pay 1500 United States dollars for a gorilla trekking permit obtained from a registered tourism company or Rwanda Development Board. Volcano National park is only 2 to 3 hours from Rwanda capital Kigali.
Still, visitors can travel to Congo and see mountain gorillas. The Democratic Republic of Congo offers the cheapest option of the three countries with gorilla permits cost as low as 400 United States dollars. D.R Congo has been relatively unstable and this has made most visitors travel to Uganda and Rwanda to see mountain gorillas.
In all three countries, gorilla trekking safaris can be best done during the dry season when there no incidents of rains that would not cause inconveniences during your safari. It is recommended to use a four-wheel-drive vehicle when going to either Uganda, Rwanda, or the Democratic Republic of Congo to see gorillas given the nature of the topography and climatic changes within these countries.
